There was a small fridge with 2 water bottles given every day. They seemed recently refurbished (with the last 5 years) with updated bathroom fittings.\n\nLocation - The location was walking distance from the Sultanahmet area where most of the major attractions were. It's also walking distance to the tram station that connects to the metro and ferry stations. There were a lot of food options around, including shopping and grocery stores.\n\nAmenities - We were pleasant surprises with the breakfast spread and quality of the food. There were 2 elevators for 6 floors. We didn't get a chance to go to the rooftop restaurant, but it hear that the views were pretty good.\n\nOverall - I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Istanbul. Rooms are clean, washrooms had hot showers and a convenient fridge + closet small safe. Breakfast has a large variety of Turkish traditional Mediterranean dishes. All historical strolls (Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sofia, Blue mosque, Topkapi Palace) are 15-20 minutes walk away. Rest of Istanbul attractions can be reached through Metro. There is a luggage storage facility and on demand airport taxi is available. Even though we showed up before check-in time, both rooms were already ready, so we got settled right away. The sea view was incredible, honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were always friendly and smiling, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable, which made the stay even better.","cons":"The bathroom only had a 2-in-1 shampoo and body wash, which I don’t like using on my hair, so I ended up using my own. It's enough just to come back to sleep.","comment":"I added two nights to my stopover program with Turkish Airlines and made a reservation. The location is such that you can easily walk to famous spots like the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar, making it a good hotel for me as I wanted to visit major tourist attractions during my short stay. Of course, I thought I needed to be cautious at night, but it didn't feel overwhelmingly unsafe. There are many cats and dogs around.\n\nThe hotel itself is quite old, and the initially empty atmosphere felt a bit eerie (laughs), but it seemed like there were quite a few guests, mainly Europeans. The breakfast was sufficient for a light meal. While it's not luxurious, there are traditional Turkish dishes that I think are good for a light bite before heading out.\n\nThe room appeared clean, and while it wasn't dirty, there were some signs of age that caught my attention (like the curtains falling down when I pulled them, haha). My room had a view that felt very local, but it wasn't noisy outside, so I could rest quietly.\n\nThe staff members, mostly older gentlemen, were generally kind.
